Early life
On August 17, 2003, The Kid LAROI was born in New South Wales, Australia.His mother, Sloane Howard, was a talent manager and the founder of a record business, and his father, Nick Howard, is a music producer and sound engineer who has worked with Australian talents including Bardot and Delta Goodrem.
As of 2020, Howard resides with his mother and younger brother.
Career
While recording raps over beats on his mother's phone at a very young age, Howard discovered his affinity for music.
He made a professional breakthrough in 2017 as a result of his development agreement with Sony Music Australia.
Along with Manu Crooks, B Wise, and Miracle, he released his debut mixtape, 14 With a Dream.
In March 2019, he established a relationship with the record company Grade A Productions and Columbia Records. His music video for the tune "Let Her Go" became famous all over the world when it was posted on the Lyrical Lemonade YouTube channel.
On January 31, 2020, he dropped the track "Diva," which featured Lil Tecca. On March 22, 2020, he dropped "Addison Rae," a song that had the same name as a popular social media celebrity. On April 17 he dropped "Fade Away," then on June 12 he dropped "Go," a collaboration with the late American rapper Juice Wrld.
On July 24, 2020, he released his mixtape "F*ck Love," which included Juice Wrld, Corbin, and Lil Mosey, among others.
In June 2021, Laroi parted ways with Grad A Productions and agreed to work under Scooter Braun's management.
On July 23, he published F*ck Love 3: Over You, the second F*ck Love deluxe. It includes cameos from artists including Stunna Gambino, Lil Durk, Polo G, and G Herbo.
But he also parted ways with Scooter Braun as his manager and joined Adam Leber at Rebel Management.
Laroi has also collaborated with artists including Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Internet Money, and Y2K.
He has appeared in fashion editorials for publications including Flaunt, and in the autumn of 2021, he graced the cover of Wondaland magazine.
